What is this?

Small scale refers to the size of organizations and initiatives, measured by their impact and reach. This term is used to refer to organizations and entities that typically operate at a local level and with limited resources, such as cooperatives, small businesses, and community organizations. Small scale initiatives are usually characterized by strong local ties, close relationships, and a reliance on community resources. Additionally, small scale projects often lack the financial and technical support of larger actors, forcing them to focus heavily on self-reliance and sustainability when organizing their activities.
